21 players traveled to 5 hours northwest to Rochester to compete in a two-day passing tournement hosted by St. John Fisher College. Their campus is the training camp home of the Buffalo Bills, which translates into great facilities. This was the third year that we have competed in this passing camp and it has evolved into a great tradition of our program. Each year this camp fills up faster and faster, this year it will filled up by mid April.
The camp consists of 24 schools, mostly from the Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo areas. We are the team with the longest drive every year. We went 4 and 4 over the weekend and were very competitive in all of our games. We showed great improvement in many areas, but most importantly we demonstrated a great increase in our overall knowledge of the game.
The players who went all improved and there was a great deal of leadership was demonstrated. It was a very good weekned of football. Thank you to the following who attended and make a great commitment to get better and to Wallkill Football: Zach Henke, Steve Rola, AJ Calvo, James Harcher, Paulo Alvear, Joe Colombo, Anthony Ponesse, Conor Miller, Tom Truscello, Matt Chivattoni, Matt Ortiz, Manny Ortiz, Jeff Hansen, Marc Mazza, Mark Ruggeri, Seth Ewald, Rob Benjamin, Charlie Brauer, Nat Blake, Kevin Salemo, and Kyle Wellmon.
Also thank you to Coach Vegliando and Coach Doulos for attending as well. We will be posting photos in a couple of weeks or so.
