Former Panther Pupiales Makes His Mark

Posted Tuesday, April 25, 2006 by Dave Der Cola

The following is an excert from the Eifel Elite section of the Eifel Times, a newspaper from a United States Air Force base in Germany:

52nd Maintenance Group

"Have a malfunctiong component on an F-16? Aiman 1st Class Javier Pupiales is the go-to guy who flawlessly replaced faulty components on four F-16s. His efforts saved 16 man-hours and returned each aircraft to service three hours ahead of schedule."

Javier is a 2002 graduate and a three-year varsity starter and captain. He was an outstanding player, person, and student here at Wallkill. It is great to see that his comittment to excellence has carried this over to his military career in the United States Air Force. We are proud of the man that he has become and his accomplishments.

He will be going to Iraq in May for his first tour of duty there. We in the Wallkill Football family wishes him a very safe tour, and we look forward to his return to his family and friends. We have no doubt that he will leave his mark in Iraq, just as he did here at Wallkill High School.

Javier Pupiales is a great American.

Ashes to ashes, a Panther forever.
