A message from Coach Doulos

Posted Tuesday, January 05, 2010 by Brian Vegliando

As many of you know, Coach Doulos has left Wallkill to return to teach at his Long Island Alma Mater. Coach Doulos has asked to post a final goodbye message that he wishes to share with all of the people who has made his time at Wallkill so great:

To the players, parents, staff and the rest of Panther nation,

I wanted to take this opportunity to say good bye and thank everyone for seven memorable years of being a member the of Panther football family. For everyone who does not know, I am moving down to Long Island to be closer with my family and loved ones and will be teaching at my Alma Mater. In time I hope to become part of the staff down there but I really can’t imagine it will be as great as it was being a part of the one here.

I would first like to thank each and every player that I had the pleasure of coaching. Each team that I coached brought something unique to the game and I only hope that you had as much fun as I did.  I have the fondest memories of each team and season and I will never forget any of them. I would next like to thank the parents and fans of Wallkill football. I have had nothing but your full support no matter our record and that definitely made coaching much more enjoyable year after year. Lastly, I would like to thank the Wallkill Football staff (past and present) and Athletic Department. These are the most dedicated and hardest working coaches I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I only wish that I had the opportunity to have played for them.

I as move on, I know that Wallkill football will get stronger and better and though I will no longer be a part of the staff, I will always consider myself a member of Panther football. I wish everyone the best of luck and I will definitely be up in the Fall to route the Panthers on.

I would like to thank everyone once again for seven very memorable years.

Coach Richard Doulos

We will all miss him very much, as he was one of the most dedicated people within the program, and has played an intregal role in maintaining the program's consistent level of success. We wish him nothing but the best as he takes this step in his career, life, and future.
