Panthers defeated by Maine-Endwell 39-36 in state final.

The Wallkill Panthers closed out their historic year with a 39-36 defeat at the hands of Section 4's Maine-Endwell Spartans. The game was decided with 19 seconds left in the game when Spartan QB Shane Connelly fired a 25 yard scoring pass to clinch the victory. The play came after M-E drove the ball following an incredible 80 yard go-ahead touchdown run by Trevor Pedrick with 2:16 left in the game. It was a game that saw many lead changes and big plays by both teams. The Spartans finished the season 12-0, while the Panthers finished 12-1, and became the first team in Section 9 to play 13 games in a season.
